Beata Joanna Ulikowska is a Polish-born artist, painter, illustrator, and storyteller, originally from Boćki, a small village in the Podlaskie region of north-eastern Poland, and now based in Northampton, England.
With a diverse academic background—including a Master’s degree in History from the University of Warsaw, a degree in Theology from Drohiczyn University, and a Level 3 Diploma in Forensic Psychology—Beata brings a distinctive combination of historical awareness, curiosity about human nature, and sensitivity to storytelling into her artistic practice.
Her wide-ranging interests in theatre, film, opera, travel, history, mythology, and literature provide an ongoing source of inspiration.
These influences are reflected in work that moves between portraiture, figurative painting, landscape, illustration, and narrative imagery.
At the heart of Beata’s practice is a fascination with people, emotion, atmosphere, and untold stories. Whether depicting an intimate human moment, a quiet landscape, or a figure inspired by mythology and imagination, she seeks to create images that invite the viewer to pause, look closer, and discover a story of their own.
